Chief engineer of the A2 Design Workshop Vladimir Yakubchuk has been awarded the title of "Honored builder of Russia".

Our presentation video for a project of Hotel in Bobrovyi Ravine area has got Best architecture video award (professional category) at DA!Fest – International product design & architecture films festival in Russia, Saint-Petersburg.

AECOM’s Andrew Parkman & Miguel De La Torre have visited our workshop within the bounds of our work on Sloboda Vesni development (also known as Krasnoyarsk-city). This meeting was initiated by the client.

Professor of the University of Washington Christopher D. Campbell has once again spoke at the Institute of Architecture and Design SFU with a series of topical lectures on urban plannig. All lectures were attended by architects of our studio. Today, Christopher and Irina Kukina (the Head of the Urban Planning Department of IAD SFU) visited our office, where they were briefed on our ongoing projects.

Boris Shatalov, Anton Shatalov and Artem Elli have visited inter-regional educational forum “TIM Biryusa” with a lecture “Efficient city”. It should be observed that a masterplan as well as engineering and spatial concept of Biryusa-2011 was developed in A2 Design Workshop.

The project of Winter sports academia was presented at VIII Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum. The presentation is available on vimeo and at the project page.

For an outstanding contribution to the city development Boris Shatalov was decorated with a honorauble sign "Krasnoyarsk's coat of arms".

Anton Kulakovsky and Artem Elli, as a part of group of Siberian architects have visited the architectural weekend in London. Annual action has taken place on September, 18-19th. More than 600 buildings of a Great Britain capital, including architectural workshops of eminent architects have opened the doors for visitors these days. Architects А2 have visited offices of Norman Foster, Richard Rogers, Michael Hopkins and have talked to their employees. Have visited a new building of Parliament, Swiss Re building, London City Hall and many other things where professional guides-architects have explaind all constructive and architectural features. They also have paid visits to Royal Institute of the British Architects (RIBA) and the London Centre of Contemporary Development.

Boris and Anton Shatalovs have visited 12th architectural biennale in Venice. Going to Biennale once in two years has become a good tradition in the workshop. This time besides the exhibition itself Anton managed to meet his international friends and colleagues.
